Standard BC Incorporation ($699)

Information we'll need

  • The proposed name for your company. Try to choose a short, distinctive name. Short distinctive names usually become more valuable in the long run. We recommend that you have three choices of name, in order of preference. Remember that a corporation's name must end in "Ltd.", "Inc." or "Corp." (or the equivalents, spelled out in full: "Limited", "Incorporated" or "Corporation"), and be of this general format: "Joe's Drycleaners Inc." The middle element must be descriptive of an industry or activity. For the middle element many people choose generic industry descriptions lke "Enterprises", "Services", "Holdings", "Management", or "Industries". You do not require a middle element if you trademark the first element, for example, "Microsoft Corporation".

  • The name and home address for each person who will be a director in the corporation. The director can live anywhere as the requirement to have Canadian resident directors has been eliminated in British Columbia.

  • The name of each person who will be an officer in the corporation and which office(s) they will hold. Every corporation must have a President who must be a director. If you wish you can also name other officers: vice president, CEO, CFO, treasurer, secretary and so on.

  • The name and address of each shareholder and the percentage of shares they will receive. If you want a shareholder to receive non-voting shares say so.

  • Let us know whether you wish us to act as your corporation's registered and records office in return for a fee of $99 per year plus costs or designate some other address in British Columbia where you want the registered and records office located. For more information see our registered and records office page: http://www.incorporate.ca/registered_agent.htm.

  • e-mail the information to stuartmoir@incorporate.ca or fax it to 604-272-6959 together with an indication of whether you prefer to pay by Visa, PayPal (with allows you to pay by American express of Mastercard) or some other method. Most people choose to pay by charge card, PayPal or cash rather than by cheque so that we do not have to delay the incorproation to wait until the cheque clears.
